I have managed to write about 5,000 words this week, and have completed a short story, which means that approximately 2/3rds of The Sekrit Project is done. It also means that bit of work is taken care of so I can spend the next week doing revisions and copy edits on SPIRIT DANCES, which are due Thursday. Got the copyedits off a little after noon today, after emailing my editor the typed-in form of them, which really should mean they can work off that email if they so desire. So that’s sorted.

Spent the remainder of the afternoon working on the DEMON HUNTS AAs, which I got halfway through. I’ll finish tomorrow, and get them typed in and sent off. ( Read more... )

CEs on TRUTHSEEKER are almost done. My reward is spending tomorrow afternoon & evening doing the AAs for DEMON HUNTS. I anticipate those being pretty quick, though. *fingers crossed*

I am now going to go spend the remainder of my evening watching Sanctuary. *drags self off*

Okay. Copyedits done, at least in the first pass. Tomorrow I’ll have to go through them again and either type them up or at least make sure my changes are clear enough, so that the manuscript can go back in the mail (at horrific expense) on Monday. Ted’s birthday was very nice yesterday. Kind of a quiet day all around, but we had a v. lovely dinner and he got a couple things he wanted (or one he wanted, anyway, and one he didn’t think about but which was good), and next weekend we’re going down to Cork for their annual gaming convention, so that’s the other part of his birthday and it shall ( Read more... )

Today is my Chance artist Ardian Syaf’s 30th birthday. I started working with him a few weeks after his 25th birthday, when he had no professional comics credit worth mentioning. Did I actually post about my wibbling over whether I was going to photocopy the copy edited manuscript of THE PRETENDER’S CROWN? I ended up not doing it, because it was going to cost €92, which is about $116, and frankly that’s a third the cost of a document scanner and I simply do not have a hundred euro to drop on *photocopies*.
